CullIQ Privacy Policy

CullIQ is an offline-first tournament livewell and culling assistant for bass anglers. We built it to work on the water with no cell service, and that design choice shapes our entire privacy posture: CullIQ does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

What data CullIQ stores

CullIQ records the data you enter while using the app:

• Tournament/session names, dates, fish limits, and dead-fish penalties
• Each fish you log (weight, alive/dead state, optional notes, cull tag)
• App settings (preferred weight unit, default penalty, custom cull tags)

All of this is stored locally on your device in an on-device SQLite database. It never leaves your phone.

What CullIQ does not do

• We do not require an account, email, or login.
• We do not collect or transmit your name, email, location, IP address, device identifiers, or contact list.
• We do not include analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties — because we do not collect any in the first place.
• We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files.

Permissions

CullIQ requests no runtime permissions. The app runs entirely offline.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you control it completely:

• To export it, you can copy the device backup using your platform’s standard backup tools (Google Drive on Android, iCloud Backup on iOS).
• To delete it, open the app, go to Settings, and use Reset All Data. This permanently erases every tournament, fish, and setting. You can also uninstall the app to remove the local database entirely.

Children’s privacy

CullIQ is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone. The app’s content (competitive bass tournament tooling) is suitable for general audiences.

Changes to this policy

If we add features in the future that change what data is collected (for example, optional cloud sync or shared tournament leaderboards), we will update this document and bump the Last updated date above before those features ship.
